02 Dec 2004 - The final exam is on Friday, Dec. 17 at 1:00 pm. Please note A-G Students should go to FLC 124 (not IACC) for the final.

01 Dec 2004 - There was a typo on the Exam 3 answer key. If you had the last configuration marked S and lost points, please bring your test in for two more points.

03 Nov 2004 - Karen will hold a special SI session tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 pm in Morr 103.

01 Nov 2004 - It is registration time and I wanted to let you know about Chem 342 in the spring semester. There are two sections of 342 -- the large section will be taught by Dr. Mallik and the 'Majors' Section will be taught by Dr. Sibi. All chemistry majors should enroll for the major's section. Other students who are interested in more in-depth organic chemistry are welcome to enroll in the major's section as well. The topics covered will be the same, but you will have more discussion of the details in the major's section.

22 Oct 2004 - Reminder, I will be out of town on Monday and Dr. Mallik will be filling in at the lecture. Exam grades have been posted. You may pick up your exam anytime after I return on Wednesday. Keys will be posted on Wednesday.

27 Sept 2004 - The was a mistake in grading the exam and a new exam 1 key was placed on the web today. Please check problem 1 and come see me for more points if you have these answers:

1b - 3
1e - 0

13 Sept 2004 - The QUIZ 1 answer key has been posted on the exams page. Scores will be posted following exam 1. You should check the answer key against your quiz sheet to give you an idea of your score. Please let me know if you find errant scores on the grades page when it gets set up.

13 Sept 2004 - The answer key for additional problems from chapter 2 had a mistake. The number of sigma bonds on the molecule on the left should be 14 (don't forget the H's not shown). A corrected answer key has been posted.

08 Sept 2004 - Note, the Lecture 02 notes had a small typo. The orbital description for the triple bond showed sp2 where it should say sp. Corrected notes have been uploaded. Sorry for the inconvenience.
